Your child is struggling, and you're not sure where to turn.

Maybe your little one can't quite find the words for what they're feeling so it comes out in meltdowns, clinginess, or shutting down completely.

Or, maybe your teen is pulling away, and the distance between you feels wider every day.

You've tried everything you can think of. You've read the books, adjusted the routines, had the conversations. And yet something still feels stuck.

You don't have to figure this out alone and neither does your child.

Or as an adult... You've done a lot of work on yourself. But something still doesn't quite add up.

You handle things. You show up. From the outside, life looks manageable, maybe even good. But inside, there are parts of you that feel like they're at war with each other. The part that wants connection and the part that keeps people at a safe distance. The part that knows your worth and the part that quietly whispers you're not enough. The part that wants to move forward and the part that keeps pulling you back to old patterns you can't quite explain.

Parts Work and Internal Family Systems, offers a gentle, non-pathologizing way to get curious about those inner voices rather than fighting them. Together we create space for every part of you to be heard, understood, and integrated so you can finally feel at peace within yourself.

Carllee works with VA clients in person and virtually.

Whether you are five or forty-five, healing looks different for everyone, and that is exactly how it should be.

My Approach

Hi, I'm Carllee and I love working various ages and stages. When working with children my first priority is making sure every child feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely welcomed. If being one-on-one feels like too much at first, parents are always welcome to join until we build enough comfort to work independently together.

In early treatment I lean into child-centered play therapy, letting the child take the lead.  Once trust is established I shift toward a more directive approach, blending skill-building with play so children always maintain a sense of choice and control.

Throughout our work together I collaborate closely with parents, sharing strategies they can practice at home because growth in the therapy room becomes most powerful when it is supported beyond it.

When working with adults for individual sessions, I offer a warm, collaborative space where my clients can slow down, turn inward, and begin to understand themselves more deeply. Our work together may weave in somatic and mindfulness techniques, parts work, and CBT skill-building depending on what feels most relevant to you and your goals. I believe that understanding why we think, feel, and respond the way we do is just as important as learning new ways to navigate it  and I will guide you in that process, gently challenging you forward when you are ready.

Outside of the therapy office, I love spending time with family and friends, whether that means exploring the outdoors, going on walks with my dog, or traveling. I also have a creative side that comes out through arts and crafts and DIY projects.
